Awake
Awake
Let me lie awake in my sea of blackened hearts
And shattered, broken dreams.
Let my breath whisper sweet crystalline words,
Of a time I once knew.
Let the madness control my sin,
And the heartache burn my soul.
Alive, but no longer living,
In a sea of bleeding bodies.
Forever a memory of sanity,
Clinging to the delicate fabric of life.
Reaching and grabbing in a world without walls.
Buried deep beneath the bastardly sinners above.
Falling down an endless shaft of darkness.
Touching nothing, and being touched by nothing.
Alone and afraid, one grasps what one can.
Fighting to survive in a barren wasteland.
Hold on to me,
